Whilst I was in London last week, I made a visit to the Japan Centre! It had changed since I last visited but because my arms were dropping off, I had to literally dash and grab.
I picked up Maquia, Vce and Biteki.
Biteki:

A freebie:

I think this is an empty tub:

Another cure but pointless item!

Inside:

I love the quality and detailing of make overs:

Voce, lashes with some glue:

Freebie:

Voce has some really cool and funky items:

There’s some foundation in there too, and in typical organised Japanese fashion, there’s a cosmetic sponge!

Maquia – this is my first Maquia purchase and it feels like an elegant magazine:

Freebie, some ROC cream and pink thing…

Ok I spend ages trying to figure out what the hell this was! And its….

Well, can you guess?

A scrunchie type thing for the hair! What is this? the 80s?!
Love Japanese magazines, even though they cost a bomb and I don’t understand a single word. The photography is stunning and everything is details and concise. You can buy these magazines online from The Japan Centre.

Doremon is so cute!!!!!!
I live Doremon! Although I used to call him Ding-Dong, that was his Chinese name!
Totally agree with you Row – it’s worth me buying the japanese mags because they actually cover cosmetics properly, even though I can’t read a damn word either!
There is still a massive gap in the UK/Western market for that.
The closest I can find is Look because they devote more than ‘let’s look in the celebs make up bag and tell you products that you know are shit are how she blatently does not create her look’ that seems to be all that’s covered in the others.
*sigh*
I haven’t been to London in months, might need to take a trip! x
Hi Chica
Japanese mags are so fab aren’t they. I was
readinglooking at an article and it had ‘what is in your make up bag’ and it even had the measurements of the bag!I used to like Instyle for make up but not so much anymore. There’s nothing hardcore beauty in the UK, and certainly none that has the diversity of Japanese magazines and doesn’t just kiss the butts of the big advertisers!
LOL how did I miss the scrunchie? Dare you to wear it work

They already think I’m mental!
