Have you every checked out the Covergirl website? Whether you like their make up or not, their website is really impressive – there are lots of ways to choose the best shade for you and they have tips and videos to watch.
I have been buying bits from Covergirl via eBay to test out just because I have been quite impressed with what I’ve tried.
Now – to be honest Lip Stains are not my thing because I don’t like my pout to be dry and flaky and stains tend to do that to me. However, they are great when you really need the colour to stay in place, and I think they work well as a base for lip gloss too.
I bought Covergirl Outlast Stain Pen:
The water-based colorants of Outlast Lipstain give lips a beautiful, lightweight flush of color that won’t come off, lasting for hours without the heavy look or feel of an ordinary lipstick. Its pen-like precision applicator makes it easy to define your lips-just draw on color without any hassle!
I have shade 400 which is a posy pink.
This lipstick looks like a felt tip…The good thing about a pen type applicator is that it makes the product easy to apply – for me at least. I really like pen style liquid eyeliners, for example.
This produce is water based and it does stain – boy does it stain – what you see on my hand stayed there for days. You can layer it to get different degrees of colour. One layer for a soft pink, two layers for a stronger rose:
On my lips:
The colour is stronger than I thought – you can see it’s a strong rose which fades as the day goes on. It didn’t leave a hideous ring around my lips but then again, I applied gloss over it to prevent them from drying out.
This stain is not bad at all – it’s not too drying and it really lasts. It’s also affordable but because like most stains, it looks a little flat I wouldn’t personally wear it on it’s own.
Buy from eBay or browse here.
I paid about £5 for this on eBay.
