After buying Freeze Aqualumiere because a purdy shop assistant told me to, I went back for a second purchase.
The thing about the Chanel Aqualumiere Lip Glosses, is that they aren’t the most exciting range of colours so I found myself potentially picking out a few (I adore the formula) but none of the colours are *wow*.
Eventually I settled for this Aqualumiere, called Colibri – sources say this was a Limited Edition shade for Christmas 2009 but it was still on my local counter.
Colibra is a oyster-white-pearl type shade. Its sheer, shiny, and in certain light it has a micro sparkle to it. Its certainly more unique than it seems in the tube:
Personally, as I love nudes which a whitish tinge, I really like this gloss. It tones down the pigment in my lips without looking too stripperish – a great choice for people who want to dabble with whiteish coloured glosses.
Will I buy any more Aqualumieres? Yes – but I’ll wait til some new shades come out.
I’m always afraid of silvery/white lipglosses, lest I get the dreaded ‘jizz lips’ (and I am NOT that sloppy during funtimes!). This one looks really flattering though! Maybe because it’s slightly off-white or sheer? I’ll have to investigate further…
