Lauren’s Way is a beauty brand dedicated to fake tan products and general youthful glam beauty. The brand was founded by TOWIE star Lauren Goodger (I admit I don’t watch the series, and I am not much of a tanner) but still, I tried a few of the products as did my 20 year old cousin and here are some picks that are worth your consideration (note: I lost 100s of photographs recently and the product shots I took are lost forever in a digital graveyard, hence the stock pictures).
1. Darker than Dark Mousse (£19.95)
LW’s tans come in mousse, spray and foam. It also comes in Medium, Dark and Darker than Dark. I chose mousse as this to me is the easiest and most forgiving to apply. I tried this once then gave this to my cousin to try (mainly because I don’t have much time to tan) and her verdict; she found it super easy to use and the result
2. Fabulous Flutter Lashes (£6.95)
My cousin tried these and liked how they looked on (quite dramatic on her) and found the glue quite decent too that comes with it. The lashes needed to be trimmed down to size as they are a bit long, but the band was soft enough to mould to her eye shape. She also has found that they last for a few wears without looking worn.
3. Dream Rollers (£19.95)
These are soft foam rollers that come in a pack of 20, and come with a bag. You can wear these to bed because they have the soft core.
I found these were fairly grippy in the hair although they didn’t necessarily hold the roll that tightly. They were certainly comfortable for the time I wore them, I personally wouldn’t wear them to bed because…well, bumpy. The result was a soft soft wave and added body which you could do with rollers of course (heated) but these are a bit more gentle if you have the time to keep them in beforehand.
4. Plump & Pout Lip Gloss in Clear (£15.95)
I haven’t owned a clear lip gloss since buying a MAC Lip glass in the tube back in 2000. However my lips are naturally pigmented, so it’s not the worst ever thing to wear.
This lip gloss has the tingly lip thing going on, and makes my lips look extra pink and fuller (if that is possible!). The spicy element of the gloss irritates the lips slightly (as with all of these kinds of lip plumping products) which gives that plumped up feeling. It’s more tingly than say MAC Plushglass, but not as burning as Too Faced Lip Injection. If you are in to this kind of plumping gloss, this is a decent one to try.
