Prepare released some glossy and pigmented lipstick additions last year called the Rouge Pang range (and Lumi Pang which are lip glosses) and I couldn’t resist buying two to review.
There are lots of interesting looking products coming out in Korea recently – my observation is that Korean brands tend to be quite cheaper than many Japanese ones and they have more pigmented, bolder colours whereas the trend with Japanese lipsticks errs towards the more watery sheer fine glittery lippies.
So if I am buying Korean I tend to go for bold colours. If I am buying Japanese I buy every day shades with a beautiful soft texture.
I had my eye on two colours from the Rouge Pang range – PK07 a medium pink peach and PK08 a plum (or that’s what it looked like not he swatch).
Newsflash: when using the swatches to decide on colours, many times i’ve realised the real thing doesn’t quite look like the swatch so be prepared for that.
Here are the lipsticks – the lipstick is in a plain lightweight plastic tube which is fine.
These colours are smooth and very glossy with no glitter or shimmers at all. They are soft and pigmented, and also very wearable and comfortable on the lips. Lasting power is 2 hours or so, it is not particularly long lasting and it didn’t leave a stain on my lips. I would describe it as a really pigmented tinted balm.
PK07 is a wearable cute pink.
PK08 is a bold pink as opposed to a plum.
On me – PK07 – I love the soft glow it gives to the lips:
PK08 – a fun bright pink:
I enjoyed both of these lipsticks, there’s nothing bad about them all (apart from longevity) yet I currently have so many lipsticks in rotation that these don’t get much wear but I am happy that i have them.
I paid about £6 each for these in eBay.
