Did I tell you I am currently obsessed, OBSESSED, with all beauty things Korean, especially bright lip colours and tints because I have been watching K-Dramas and nearly all the women rock neon lips worn in an ombre style, and they manage to make it look sexy and natural too. I am obsessed!
Trying a lip tint therefore, from a new Korean brand I have never heard of before was tempting. This brand is called NoTS (notice the small O) and it stands for; Noble Through Skin.
The brand reminds me a high end Innisfree, with a focus on natural but functional cosmetics, using eco friendly materials throughout it’s range.
NoTS Lip Alice Color Mousse in shade 04 Scarlett Tangerine was my pick to try. Korean formulas are so good, so varied too that it’s always fun to use. This product is packaged in a sleek light case that looks quite high end. It’s not cute like some Korean brands are!
This lip mousse claims to be pigmented and moisturising too, as well as long lasting. Basically everything you could ever want!
You can use this for ‘Transparent Lips’ by using it in the centre of the lips and betting out or all over for a vivid lip effect.
Firstly – the applicator is a lovely soft sponge with an angle which I liked to apply this bright shade with precision.
Secondly – I couldn’t detect any scent…just thought I’d get that in
Thirdly – this ain’t no mousse! It is not a dense or light airy mousse texture, it’s more of a thick liquid gloss with an oily texture. Do NOT expect a mousse.
Nevertheless – it is certainly pigmented and the orange based red is true. It is also highly glossy as promised with a pretty sheen – almost too much sheen as I worried it would end up everywhere.
If I were wearing this I would blot it for sure, unless I knew I was going out and not having to kiss the kids for a few hours. even with a blot, a stain remains and the colour overall is pretty long lasting.
The other shades in this range are more natural (apart from 05 Vivid Red) but I felt this orange red would be more wearable for day to day, and it is, apart from the fact it is face brightening. I like!
On me – PLEASE EXCUSE THE BLUSH, I swear it was a dark day and I couldn’t see properly:
Are there other products like this on the Korean market? I am sure there are but right now I can’t think of one…this product has a slightly tacky stickiness that I don’t tend to feel as much with other lip tints which I think, helps it adhere a bit better. I also can’t think of a similar orange-red in my recent collections either…
