So I’m slow, but spotting Too Face’s Galaxy Eyeshadows – gorgeous swirly eyeshadows, black based with swirls of metallic colour gave my shivers.
They are £12.00 each here. Not that expensive but buying all four would be a pricer endevour, and besides, to they all really give a holographic swirl? Lets face it, it looks pretty in the pan, but whats the guarantee that that will translate to the eyes and that it doesnt just look like a black mess on the eyes.
I stopped by Boots to have a quick swatchy. They weren’t the softest of eyeshadows a tiny bit grainy but very sparkly. How could I tear myself away. Well looking at the colours I realised they looked a lot like the Nars Night Series (that also have a dark base with colour sparkles). I already have all of the Night Series Eyeshadows, so did I really need the Too Faced too?
So we have Deep Space Vs Night Flight.
Moon Beam VS Night Porter:
Shooting Star VS Night Clubbing:
Finally, Supernova VS Night Fever:
Once swatched, the effect is very similar. With these kind of colours that have a dark base and sparkle on top, its important to press the shadow on as opposed to wipe, and to use a good eyeshadow base or cream shadow so the glitter really sticks.
Nars has a better texture than Too Faced, but it does cost more at £17.00. Thats pretty expensive for a solo eyeshadow but its one of those colours that will last forever because you don’t need much at all.
Chantecaille also has three eyeshadow shades that have a similar dark base/metallic glitter similar to the colour mentioned above; Star Sapphire is a blue, Malachite is a green and Tanzanite is the plum.
I was tempted to buy these once but these are even more expensive at £21.00, and once again, interchangeable with Night Porter, Night Flight and Night Fever. The texture with Chantecaille is lovely, but not so lovely that its worth £21.00.
So its up to you – £12, £17 or £21. The colours are all practically identical (in their colour group).

P.S. Whoever invented High School Musical, Karaoke Edition, and decided it would be a good idea to play HSM 1 and HSM 2 then a HSM Special back to back on a day when I am babysitting a teen and a delinquent deserves to be crushed like a endamame bean.
