Did I tell you I’ve been on a skincare kick lately? Instead of being lazy about cleansing and hydration I’ve been making an effort and it really shows.
Anyway another unique little skincare brand I’ve been incorporating in to my range is from IXXI (I think that’s how you write it!). This French brand focuses on anti ageing care, and the name of the brand, is supposed to convey the serenity of trees and allure of forests and woods (you can read more about their interesting background on their website).
I have two products:
I chose two products I thought I would really get some use out of.
The Sublime Silky Cleansing Balm is a gel type cleanser (none foaming) that turns in to an oily texture before washing off easily with water.
There are a few things I like about this –
1. I love that it’s in a tube and the lid design, where you unscrew it slightly and squeeze the product out – far easier than taking off a lid each time and hygienic.
2. I love that the texture is between a balm and oil cleanser – it has the right amount of slip without being too thick and you can really work this in to your skin and work off the make up.
3. It rinses off super easily.
4. It takes of make up easily.
It does not remove my waterproof mascara though, and I experienced ever so slight dryness after using it. It was VERY slight but there – I always hydrate after washing though so it wasn’t a big deal to me.
I had to try the Sublime Anti Ageing Absolute – for all skin types.
This face oil contains Pine extracts (derived from bark, pine seed oil and pine needle extract) which brings regenerating benefits to the skin.
I liked this because I don’t have any other anti ageing face oils.
What I like about this is the super super super light texture! I think this is the lightest oil I have – it is definitely an oil but doesn’t look greasy or overwhelm the skin at all.
The correct way to apply this is by using 3 drops and applying it like so:
