Now this is an interesting product!
Holika Holika’s UV Magic Shield Stick is a Eye Brightening SPF stick. It is supposed to brighten, of course, and provide a whopping SPF50 is sun protection. Sounds like a good idea to me – if the sun is the cause of mucho ageing then it’s a good idea to keep the eye area protected.
Here it is – only 18g but it’ll last:
Do you use SPF around the eye area? I can’t decide if it irritates my skin or not. I have a Shiseido eye cream which has a SPF of 25 which is pretty good though.
Here is the product – a pearly pink:
You can totally use this anywhere on your face as a highlighter. Its a pale white-pink with some pearl in it – I reckon it could be used on most skintones although it may look chalky on very dark skin, but then it could work well as a highlight for under the brow etc.
The texture sucks a little – it’s quite hard and you have to work it to get the product off. It also means you drag the skin if you want to apply it directly from the stick.
The coverage of this product is very sheer. In fact whilst it will brighten a little it will offer little in terms of coverage. This means that you could end up using eye cream > concealer > SPF stick which to me is too much hassle. I can imagine getting this out on holiday but every day, it’s a bit too much effort.
Swatch:
It’s not a nice light pink – it’s a bit icy to me which I don’t like.
It fits nicely under the eye:
VERY little coverage. I know it doesn’t say it’s a concealer but if the item was just a tad more opaque, it would cover some circles.
In terms of hydration – forget it. Once again if there was some hydration that would be great – but no it doesn’t do anything.

Verdict:
Super clever idea and great for holidays and you can use it elsewhere too.
Personally too much hassle for every day for me and I don’t like the texture or the colour. Fussy, moi? Still, where else are you gonna find a SPF50 eye stick!??!
I bought it from eBay for about £11 inc shipping.

Looks a little like deo
If someone could make a spf product like this for the eye, but slightly more moisturising and concealer, I’d be on it like a car bonnet lol It just seems like such a convenient way of applying spf for the eye…as long as the product was moist enough not to drag the delicate skin around the eye area
This sounds a brilliant product. I have never heard of an eye product with such a high sun factor in it before.
