I am going to a Make Up Consulation next week which I am really excited about and I need to choose ONE look that I want to achieve by the end of the session.
Now – it would be very easy for me to pick something clean, elegant, simple for day to day but this is NOT my dream make up.
My dream make up is bronzy, glowy, dark eyes, GLAM. This may not be to everyone’s taste but I love it!
Here are some examples:
The problem is….Megan Fox and Kim…does it border on skanky? Overdone? I really don’t want to pull out a picture of Megan Fox and go “MAKE ME LOOK LIKE HER” because then I feel like I’m asking to look like a porn star.
Or maybe…I do want to look like a porn star…?!?!?

What about Monica Belluci? She does those smoky eyes, nude cheeks and lips kind of looks, and she’s skank-free.

Meh, say what you will about the Kardashians – their makeup is damn good! Slap her makeup on Thandie Newton or Rachel Weizszszsszszzss and people would be cooing over how glam and chic they look.
So yeah, skanky – no. Overdone? Obviously yes for daytime but not at all for night.

Mmmh, what about something like a “Carrie Bradshaw” sort of look? Sarah Jessica Parker, in the series, has always a soft, classy, smokey eye look with natural fresh and glowy skin. She’s not beatiful in a classical way, but she always looks gorgeous to me.

lol! i say, since you are getting your makeup professionally done, why not go all out?? definitely do the bronzed look- because played-up neutrals are gorgeous! the megan fox pic looks like she has a charcoal smudged-liner, whereas kim k. apparently has black on… I would try to open-up more to unique shades/liners… tell the MUA to do whatever she feels like (usually you end up with something you wouldn’t normally wear/or do but it gives you more ideas and different shades to play around with)!
