So yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to try adding some really ashy tones to my hair – I love ashy colours but now my hair has too much ash. White coloured ash. WRONG.
We are in an emergency hair dye situation here girls I need to colour over this fast before the little blighters come and mock my hair .
So I have a habit of buying 2 packs of hair dye every time I see a nice one ‘just in case’. I currently have 3 in my store cupboard – but which one should I use?
1. Beauty MauveA dark warm brown purple shade. Not sure if I really want to go purple though…
2. Blythe Cream Beige. I think I’d end up as the middle tone on the chart – quite pretty
3. Blythe Clear Ash. Sticking with the ashy tone here but theres more cool warmth to this hair colour
I also have quite a few standard Boot Botanics Semis and some Clairol perfect 10 but Japanese hair dyes work the best one me.
So…which one?!

Don’t do the ash one, you’ll end up green. If your hair has been stripped to the white stage you’ll need to add some warmth back to it; I’d go for the middle one personally. Although the top one might turn the streaks mauve, which would be kind of cool.
If you can, you might do a protein filler first, to help the colour to take. I used to use one by Nexxus.

Hmm i would say clear ash mainly becaus ei know how you love that cool toned brown and you should take advantage of the ash tones in your hair now to get the perfect ashy cool brown- plus cream beige might go brassy
