GOSH has recently launched 8 new shades of their Velvet Touch Lipstick for the winter – I have 4 of them here to review and swatch!
In all honestly I don’t peruse the GOSH counters much although I know they have a huge selection of colours and products for people who are fans. Their products are decently priced and Superdrug, where the range is stocked, usually has some kind of deal going on
So here are my 4 shades:
164 – Adorable (light candy pink)
165 – Desirable (hot pink)
166 – Desire (red)
172 – Angel (pale beige)
There are also some deep berries and plums in the collection which are great for Autumn/Winter.
There’s a nice selection of colours here, I find each one is quite wearable in it’s own way. The shadow I would get the most wear from is probably Adorable, even though it is a little bright and Angel, with a bit of lipliner so it’s not too pale.
I like how pigmented and creamy these lipsticks are – there’s no shimmer in any of them and they are just comfortable to wear and not drying.
Adorable – is a bright candy creamy pink. I quite like it and i think blotted it could be more wearable day to day if retro pinks aren’t your thing:
Desirable is a hot pink – it reminds me of a colour my mum used to wear. I quite like it:
Desire is red, quite a bright true red and I find it quite wearable:
Angel is a pale plain nude colour – for me it’s pale, lighter than my skin tone so needs something else like a lipliner to be more wearable. If you like beige-nudes then this is a great shade. It’s the sheerest finish of all the colours here:
All in all, a strong set of colours from the Velvet Touch lipstick range, I’ll definitely take a look at the counter the next time I have a craving for a certain shade of lipstick but don’t want to spend a fortune.
The lipsticks are £6.49 each from Superdrug (there is currently a 3 for 2 offer across cosmetics).
