I have a sickness – and it’s a lipgloss sickness and I can’t stop buying pretty ones! Having said that…a lot of the ones I buy are just meh. So it’s really nice to find something a bit special, that really looks pretty on…
Esprique Aqua Drape Rouge lipglosses were released a few months back. I purchased two colours, RD471 a sheer brown red and PK972, a light pink:
In my experience Japanese lip glosses are very pretty, sheer, shimmery and have a nice texture on the lips. MAQUillage used to make my favourite lip glosses ever – but it’s been a while since I spent so much on one gloss. These are around £20 each.
The tubes – very pretty and have a diamond type pattern to them:
The applicator; they’re tear drop shaped, and seem to hold more product in the centre where there is a small well:
They look medium pigmented on my hand, but it’s actually just enough colour on the lips. There’s definitely enough there to detect the shade but it isn’t opaque.
Also the texture is lovely; the lip gloss leaves a really rich, plump, glossy finish on the lips.
Sheer Pink PK972 – this is the pale pink, you can see it does settle into lines somewhat but also gives a really pretty effect:
RD471 is technically a red but it’s really more of a warm sheer brown based red. It is natural, there’s nothing to be scared of here. It’s better on olive tones I think and redheads! It’s quite unusual, not like anything else I’ve seen around!
