Oh, you know those beauty products that everyone talks about and says is amazing, but you avoid? Yeah.
Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette is one of them. I don’t like cardboard packaging in the slightest, I don’t like too many reddish tones. Everyone talked about this amazing palette and I had zero interest.
Then…..a You Tuber I watch (her videos are not about beauty) decided to talk about her make up bag contents and lo and behold, she uses this palette and swears by it. So I decided to bite the bullet and treat my self, yo.
This palette is faked left right and centre. If you want this palette for realz, make sure you buy it from a proper beauty retailer (not eBay or an Amazon seller) like Cult Beauty or Beauty Bay. If someone is selling you this palette for £10 then it’s a fake. The real thing cost me £41 and it’s constantly sold out, so there’s no reason it would be heavily discounted.
Here is the back of the box for your reference in case you want to see it:
So the palette itself is cardboard but the front of it is like a velvet/flocked finish. Mine has got a little dirty already but whatever, I can live with it. It comes with a dual ended brush which is great – I use it all the time.
To look at I still didn’t get it – weird mixture of pinks, and terracotta, and browns. Don’t get it.
There are 11 matte shades and 3 metallics.
The shades from left to right, top then bottom:
