I have always loved Nars, so I just had to show you the Fall/Autumn collection for 2010. The collection is a collaboration between Nars & Daphne Guinness, launched on August 1st.
To create this look:
A coat of Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base, followed by a wash of Daphne Single Eyeshadow. Using the Wide Contour Brush, build color and intensity along the outer eye. For brightness in the inner eye, apply Mangrove Single Eyeshadow and lightly lined the top and bottom lashes with Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo.
Brows were defined with Ipanema Eyebrow Pencil. The look was finished off with two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara to both the top and bottom lashes.
The pièce de résistance: Daphne’s lips, stained with Rouge Basque Lipstick and highlighted with Scandal Lip Gloss for ultimate shine and fullness.
The products & prices:
Love the look of this blush! I hope it has a soft shimmer!
Douceur Blush £19.50
Looks nice, probably too deep for me? Mind you it is a fall shade.
Rouge Basque Lipstick (Limited Edition) £17.00
A rosy gloss – my favourite lip gloss from Nars is Risky Business, a sheer persimmon – so I may like this one too!
Strawberry Fields Lip Gloss (Limited Edition) £17.00
Cor! Love purple, must have this.
Daphne Eyeshadow £16.00
Unsure of this one, as I don’t like these kind of mid toned browns, we’ll see.
Coconut Grove Eyeshadow £16.00
A golden highlighter shade – will have to see this one in person. It looks like a very bright yellow.
Mangrove Eyeshadow (Limited Edition) £16.00
Looks gorgeous! Must have! The right hand grey looks interesting.
Tzarine Eyeshadow Duo £23.00
It looks similar in concept to Tzarine (a light and very dark eyeshadow) but this one is a dark blue and the other is a grey?
Rajasthan Eyeshadow Duo (Limited Edition) £23.00
Arrghh. Must have this. Definitely.
Palladium Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (Limited Edition) £15.00
What I’ve found interesting about this collection is that some products are marked as Limited Editions – I was told that Nars rarely did Limited Editions in their main collections (with the exception of specials, like the Christmas palettes).
Will making some of the products limited edition make them sell out quicker? Would it get you rushing down to the counter on the release?!
