Estee Lauder has 16 new shades of nail lacquer – some from the core range and some are limited (see the colour chart at the end of the post!).

Given the chance to choose some shades to try I decided to go for something different from my usual bright pinks and hot corals. I went for Sizzling Taupe, more of a subtle brown shimmer and Wicked Green – because it totally reminds me of Wicked the musical!

Estee Lauder polishes come in these ice cube type containers; it’s actually quite handy because they feel sturdy on the table!

Wicked green:

This is a limited edition colour – a really rich deep green and it does totally remind me of Wicked and also of poster paint – the green you would mix up at school with thick paint! I like it – I would consider wearing this despite it being green, I think it’s tone means that it’s elegant too.

Sizzling taupe is also limited edition and is more of a natural look:

It has some silver pearl running through it – pretty – and I guess a nice change from all the matte or shimmer free taupes that are around.

Overall I like the Estee Lauder polishes, they are quite liquid so are easy for me to apply and 2 coats gives an even finish.

The colours are on sale in Harrods and will launch nationwide from the 28th February 2011. They are 9ml each and cost £14.

What shades do you like?
