Dior Sky Glow & Tropical

Dior sure does do some very pretty palettes. Expensive tho, no?

Nevertheless, I prefer the texture and quality of Dior to Chanel anyway. Chanel’s can be gritty where as Dior shadows are like butter…

I had to pick up these two palettes from the Iridescent range:

Swatch was taken with no base, so the colour is quite sheer.

Sky Glow is not quite as metallic as I expected. The colours are very cool and I personally love the brown/blue combo on eyes.

Tropical is a bit meh. I was in love with the green in the palette – his combo reminded me of Chanel’s Nymphea quad, that I have wanted ever since time began, but I have never been able to bring myself to buy it.

If you are buying Tropical just for the green don’t bother. Its pretty but very sheer. Overall tho, I can see this being a fresh, nice palette for spring.

Sky Glow is stunning and my favourite of the two. It is a cool palette though, so if you like warm colours, then this is not the one for you.

I like the fact you get five pretty colours in this palette. It is one shade more generous than Chanel’s and I think they always work so well together.

Any criticism? The iridescent range is pretty shimmery, but having one matte is always handy. But apart from that, if you have the dough, these are lovely palettes to own.

Having tried Dior and having tried Stila, I have to say I prefer Stila eyeshadows (although my all time favorite eyeshadows are from ‘The Balm’). I find Dior’s eyeshadows a wee bit on the chalky side.

Well, I love the colour combos Dior has but Im not bowled over by these ones. I am sure I will still get wear out of them though….I am a tiny bit tempted to sell them on, I have to admit.

My all time favourite eyeshadows – mmm I do love Lavshuca and Kate.
