#alttext#

I have got some toothbrushes from Smile Dental, Plaque Off supplements for stronger teeth, a set of interdental brushes and a rather nifty tongue cleaner.

Want to win the lot?
Method 1.

Answer the following question:

How many fillings have you got and do you have a dentist story from hell?

Me:

I am petrified of dentists. I have tons of fillings too, and when I was younger I had a trainee dentist who kept injecting me in the wrong place and I could feel every single bit of drilling because the idiot had clearly not done it properly! Tears were streaming from my face – I wasn’t even a kid!

And that’s why I’ll never marry a dentist.

Method 2.

Follow me on Twitter and retweet (RT) the following message:

RT @cosmetic_candy: Follow & RT to win a full Dental Set. Info: http://tinyurl.com/37wxotc

*Note: if you change the tweet, it will not count as an entry.

Good Luck!

6 fillings but no dental stories from hell..I have one of those rare things – a gentle dentist =D x

Mandy December 11, 2010 at 1:10 pm

Hm I didn’t really keep track of the number of fillings i’ve had but if i’m not wrong it should be about 5? Well in primary school the school dentist was perpetually snappy and we all dread it when a student walks into the class with a red clipboard, cos the list on it spells eewww for the unlucky few selected. Actually she wasn’t bad in terms of professional skills but her attitude was just unfriendly and terrified many kids.

kirsty December 11, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Just one filling, which very nearly ended up being a root canal! No horror stories from me, just the usual numb face & dribbling everywhere stories!

Andrea December 11, 2010 at 1:28 pm

no fellings my gums are very sensitive that my whole thing

Yasmin Butt December 11, 2010 at 1:40 pm

I have about 6 I think ( goes to mouth and checks)
Yes, six, thanks to a childhood of sugar debauchery!

I don’t have a dentist story from hell, though the last visit was no fun.
However when they pulled my first wisdom tooth out,I found the whole situation so surreal and comical I burst out laughing afterwards!!

mishameth December 11, 2010 at 1:57 pm

I only have about 2-3 fillings. I don’t have a story, but my mom sure does. Went to the dentist and the idiot didn’t tell her she had some condition. Now she lost about half her front teeth.

Heavenlyink December 11, 2010 at 1:58 pm

I have four fillings, none for decay, just weak teeth!

Two of those were filled by a dentist who didn’t bother with an anaesthetic. I leapt out of the chair when he hit the nerve so he forced me back down in the chair & held me there until he’d finished! Needless to say, I don’t go to the dentist anymore!!!

Thian December 11, 2010 at 2:29 pm

I have no filling because my teeth are quite strong. ^.^ luckily..

No dentist story from hell too because my dentist always treat me very good :)

Caroline Duong December 11, 2010 at 3:39 pm

I have no filling yet :D
sooo sadly no scary dentist stories…

Debbie Curwen December 11, 2010 at 5:04 pm

4 fillings I think – can’t find a mirror to check. No horror stories luckily! I don’t mind injections. Had to get 3 or 4 once just for 1 filling because my mouth wouldn’t numb.

Harpreet December 11, 2010 at 5:28 pm

i have four :)

cassidy December 11, 2010 at 6:18 pm

two fillings, and no horror stories that I can remember. ;o

Jessica December 11, 2010 at 6:38 pm

I have 6 fillings.

I showed up to an appointment with my orthodontist during a blackout. While he was busy with another patient, one of his assistants poked around my gums and cheeks for a good while with a hook by weak natural light. She kept smiling while asking me: “Does this hurt? Does this hurt?”

Malfire December 11, 2010 at 6:44 pm

I feared the dentist so much that I didn’t go to any check up’s for 15 years.
I’m 25 now and I had to go to the dentist, now I have like 5 or 6 fillings. But only 1 was really necessary. They had to put a needle in my mouth to sedate the area. Even though I was scared I was more frightened by the bill they send me afterward XD!!!! A lot of rich peeps live in this neighborhood (dentist is like a couple meters away T_T should have known *shakes fist*) but we’re not rich at all haha. But anyways the bill was more frightening than the dentist and I regret not having done the annual check ups..T_T…

SO dooo yer check up’s!!!!!LoL

Dana December 11, 2010 at 9:37 pm

I’ve got four fillings! I’ve only been to the dentist once in my life and I’m way too scared to go again. Before I got my fillings done the doctor said if it hurts raise your hand and I’ll stop. Nice honest doctor right? WRONG the minute he got that torture tool it hurt me so bad! I raised my hand and he kept saying just a few more minutes! it lasted 20. So yeah I don’t trust dentists!

Holly Green December 11, 2010 at 9:41 pm

I don’t have any fillings, I’m petrified of the dentist and haven’t been since I was about 11! But I take good care of my teeth so this would be a good prize :)

Monik December 11, 2010 at 9:55 pm

I don’t remeber. I have tons of fillings!

tousledkitten December 11, 2010 at 11:31 pm

I have one filling if you don’t count a microscopic fissure seals. Hmm, I had an extraction once. It wasn’t very pleasant.

styleezta December 11, 2010 at 11:38 pm

I have about 6!! One time I had to replace 5 of them! went 2 days in a row just to get it over with OUCH!!

Mariel December 12, 2010 at 12:13 am

I had 3 fillings. The dentist had a poor eyesight who drilled the tooth which doesnt have any problem.

Nadine December 12, 2010 at 2:34 am

I don’t have any fillings and I don’t have a dental horror story. Well, except for when I’m made to wait forever (as in an hour) even when I arrive on time because they’re running behind.

Cindy December 12, 2010 at 12:31 pm

No fillings at the moment. Haven’t had any since I was 7.
I probably need one now though.

Spectrum Personae December 12, 2010 at 12:42 pm

i have 3 fillings and i feel very very lucky! my teeth are strong and healthy, they say. my uncle is a dentist and he’s always been very gentle. i remember going to him when i was a kid and needed dental…advice, or help, whatever. thing is, i haven’t spoken with him (and all the family) for 10 years now, so i just have a new dentist :D a little less gentle, but still a good one!

Emily Ho December 12, 2010 at 7:28 pm

i’ve had three fillings so far and hopefully no more. my horrible dentist story is basically every time my dentist drills my teeth, it’s just so painful for me :(

Elia December 12, 2010 at 10:47 pm

I think I have six fillings. My horror story would have to be from my last visit. The dentist (I go to a new one each time since I leave the country for dental/medical trips) drilled my teeth (in preparation for a new filling I presume) without doing anything to numb the pain! It hurt SO MUCH MORE than the tooth extraction did too! ):

kuri December 13, 2010 at 12:47 pm

I have at least 3… A trainee dentist took out my wisdom teeth; part way through the drilling was getting to me and I had the hardest time staying still! ugh.

Mira December 13, 2010 at 1:42 pm

I don’t really count on how much I got fillings and non of the doctors/nurse do that well!I’m so pissed off coz they are just like don’t care if its hurt or else. They just keep going..I really hate to go dentist because of that..

Rachel December 13, 2010 at 2:18 pm

I have 6 fillings approx. And no horror dentist stories, thank God! I hope it stays that way!

Natalie December 14, 2010 at 7:24 pm

I have 2 fillings and thankfully no dental horror stories to share!

Andrasescu-Scrieciu Adriana Camelia December 15, 2010 at 12:31 am

No fellings yet.I have a friend dentist and no dental horror stories.

Ava December 15, 2010 at 3:17 am

Only one! :) Thankfully, it was when I tripped and fell face flat on the cement floor. Ouch!

snow0016 December 16, 2010 at 6:20 am

how many? some! haha! maybe 6! I had a tooth extracted and for that, I got 10 shots of anaesthesia! my dentist told me after that I was so pale! lol!

Nina December 16, 2010 at 3:33 pm

I don’t have any fillings! But I do have awful brown teeth thanks to my coffe addiction.

Also, I have two stories:
One: my sister went to the dentist to get a tooth out (twoo teeth growing in the same spot!) and one half of her mouth was sedated and the other wasn’t, so she drooled on one side whenever she laughed! (okay, that wasn’t a horror story)
Two: I went to the dentist when I was a kid and he took some kind of scan (I don’t really remember), and told me all of my grown-up teeth were ready to come out.
so, now, years later, I haven’t had any scans anymore, but I still haven’t exchanged all teeth, so there must be some grown-up teeth somewhere in my gums… Freaky right? And I’m wondering if that will ever be a problem… But I’m afraid to ask the dentist!
Imagine, a grown woman with a gap in her mouth, and when you ask her what happened, she says “I’m getting grown-up teeth!”
So yeah, that scares me :o

Melissa December 16, 2010 at 11:38 pm

only 1, yay!
thanks.

gemma henshaw December 18, 2010 at 9:39 pm

i was banned from the dentists when i was younger due to having an asthma attack in the middle of the surgery!!

Paula Caudill December 20, 2010 at 2:19 am

I went to the dentist to have a filling put in my tooth, after he was done, he said that he took the drill and filed down my teeth to get them all even in shape!! What EVER gave him the right to do that!! Still makes me mad!!

How many fillings have you got and do you have a dentist story from hell?

Janine December 22, 2010 at 1:35 pm
Nandita December 22, 2010 at 6:13 pm

I once fled the dentist’s clinic mid way through my filling. and ummm i was 16 :D

Thebeautifier December 22, 2010 at 7:19 pm

I have one filling and a root canal on one of my tooth! The dentist who did my root canal was such an irritating guy and he kept telling me that so far I was the only one who was complaining about having lot of pain during that whole precedure! I was bleeding and suffering and he kept working on my teeth without gving me any anesthesia of any kind! It was a scary experience for me!

Lynn December 23, 2010 at 6:39 pm

Zero fillings, but my horror of a dentist once split my lip trying to get to my molars. Ouch! I always wear lip balm now.

Angie December 24, 2010 at 11:09 am

none!

kirsten T December 26, 2010 at 6:37 pm

No fillings, I think. Never met an evil dentist either.

Rabie December 27, 2010 at 6:03 am

Well, I have no fillings yet. In my high school, there’s a dentist that like to shout to students and he is not friendly at all and he is so cocky. Fortunately, my orthodontic dentist is such a kind person. ;)
