You know there are some beauty products that I hear other people talk about a lot but never get round to trying. One of those products is Benefit Erase Paste – I love the name ‘Erase Paste’ but wasn’t too sure about the ‘Paste’.
Anyway I finally got a chance to try it out…ummm hello!? Why did no one frog march me to a Benefit counter to buy this?!
Here is the concealer – it comes in 3 shades, light, medium and dark:
This concentrated, creamy concealer brightens and camouflages in one easy step! Targets dark circles, discoloration and imperfections.
This concealer is different for a number of reasons; it’s a creamy, thick, paste like texture and is almost a bit sticky to touch. The colour is a warm melon-salmon shade – it looks scary in the pot.
Benefit shows how its done:
This concealer can be used under the eye but also on other areas of imperfection.
Here is the pot – it comes with a spatula.
I have medium – see how it’s an odd orange-peach type shade? Salmon concealers are great for under the eye area, the orange really seems to cover dark circles better than any yellow shade (which can look racoon-like).
Medium worked really well for my NC35 skintone. The texture is another weird one – paste is a great word to describe it. It is extremely thick and opaque – as a concealer it totally works.
It also has this super creamy, rich feel that is almost a bit sticky. Amazingly enough it’s easy to spread on the skin if you don’t use too much, plus you can just tap it into the skin after warming it up a little. Don’t get me wrong – it doesn’t go hard when it’s cold but it spreads better with some warmth.
I guess sometimes under eye concealers can be too thin – I do like the texture of light eye concealers because they are less likely to settle into fine lines under the eye. If you have deep wrinkles around the eye, be aware that this could settle into them if you use too much.
Here is my scary eye with a few blobs of Erase paste (too much actually!):
Dab dab dab:
I think it works a treat! I’ve been using this a lot of dry blotchy bits on my face too as it’s quite hydrating and it covers instantly…it’s just easy to use!
There’s a really good tip in the leaflet that comes with this, to cover those lines you get from nose to mouth (smile lines) apply three sweeps of this concealer from the top of the wrinkle outwards like cats whiskas. It’s works well!)
I like this product a lot, I wonder how long it will last as the tub isn’t that big and I feel like I can use this under the eye AND on normal blemishes!?
This costs £18.50 and you can buy it here.
