I could be wrong, but from what I remember, Coffret D’or was a replacement for T’estimo, a brand I adored. Coffret D’or has been MEH for me – I have a few of their lipsticks and eyeshadow quads, but I didn’t feel it.
Something about their new quads, Luminous Accent Eyeshadows captured me:
I love the way Japanese brands go to the extent of repackaging their products every season. Western brands do this rarely – if you think about it, Nars, Chanel, Dior etc. often bring out new colours but don’t bring out new shapes of palettes or formulas.
Let’s cut to the chase. These palettes are lovely.
I got GREEN TONES and ORANGE TONES.
I got oranges as I wanted something warm toned and wearable:
Green!
The green one is super hot.
They come with three shades, a highlighter, a shade colour and darker (but not that dark) shade. You also get a gel glitter eyeliner (in the square in the centre).
Swatches:
It’s pretty sheer.
I was doing a look with the green today and a bit of water makes all the difference here:
I wore the Elizabeth Nude Oil Lipgloss on my lips.
Like I said before, I still haven’t bonded with Coffret D’or as a brand, but I like these quads very much – they just work well together. Having said that, Japanese quads are so similar to one another, unless I have money to burn, I don’t think I will be buying any more quads from this range for now.
Nevertheless check them out! My favourite is the Green Tones palette.
