I’ve been alternating between several cleansers these last few months and finally, I have finishing up a whole batch in one go! I reckon by the end of the month these will all be used up! So let me talk you through the cleansers…
1. Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser (£18) buy here.
A bit of a weird cleanser because it’s more like a mud, it feels ever so slightly foamy as I wash it off (although it isn’t actually foam I don’t think) but it’s also extremely gently despite containing 5% glycol acid. I wouldn’t use this to take make up off, but as a second cleanser, and also as a morning cleanser as it is not drying.
Repurchase? Maybe, we’ll see.
2. Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick (£21 approx – various sellers, I would buy direct from Korea)
This cleansing stick was all the rage because of it’s low PH despite being a foaming stick cleanser. And also because there are rose petals infused in to the stick.
I don’t dislike this product at all – it’s the least drying foam cleanser I have HOWEVER it is still slightly drying. I use this with a foam net and just apply the foam (I used to rub the stick directly on to my face! LAZY) and it’s quite a nice second cleanse.
Repurchase? Nah I don’t think so, it’s dearer than a lot of foam cleansers
3. Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Daily Cleansing Pads (£4.97 – half price at Boots).
I use these when I am so tired I can barely open my eyes. I am not keen on the soapy sweet smell BUT they work quite well, and I like the fact they contain salicylic acid. They also sweep away any make up that has fallen under my eyes.
Repurchase? Yes but only if half price.
4. Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm (£18)
A very creamy oily rich balm that is super super super gentle and none irritating. It’s great to work in to the skin! It removes everything (not waterproof mascara) but you do need to use a hot flannel to take it off, you can’t just rinse it as it will not emulsify.
Repurchase? Maybe…if my skin has a eczema or sensitivity attack, this is one I would trust to use on my skin.
5. Swiss Pure Clear Cleansing Balm (I can’t find this version any more but there is the Edelweiss version) around £8, it was about £4, thank you exchange rate)
If a cleansing balm that doesn’t wash off easily isn’t for you then this Swiss Pure one might be your bag. I’ve enjoyed using this – it’s a clear waxy balm type substance, it’s quite a strange texture as it feels so firm then melts down in your hand. It removes make up well then you rinse it and it comes off easily. If I over use this product my skin feels a little tight but if I use sparingly, it works a treat for getting make up off.
What cleansers have you finished lately?
