I have had a few dabbles with Clarins but not any major investments. Additionally a lot of the Spring collections have been boring for me, either too pastely or too dull. Bring on the Clarins collection for Spring:

The goodies:

Iris Blue Solo Shadow (Limited Edition)

This colour is really stunning! The formula is also soft and very pigmented – it wasn’t difficult to built up quite a strong smokey eye so I like!
Raspberry Blush:

This was quite a natural pink blush – the kind of thing you can wear pretty much with everything. There is also a new blush in Clementine.
I also got the Illuminator:

02 Champagne:

This is my new favourite product – I used it under by eyes and cheekbones but it blended in nicely without being too obvious. I hate illuminators that are too pale or look too obvious and this was just right.
Finally the piece de resistance:

I wasn’t sure if this palette would be all style and no substance – it is an extremely pretty looking palette. It’s actually a pigmented and easy to use palette – I like to have everything in one place and this is be a great day to day palette of a good one to take on holiday because it has a mix of nudes (browns) cutes (purples) and funky (green).

The green looks more blue here, as the colour faded it did begin to look bluish

The Clarins Spring also has an intriguing looking eye pencil (in blue) and some nice looking lipsticks I might have to indulge in. You can take a look at the whole collection here.

ooh that palette looks like just my thing! i’ve never been interested in their makeup line enough to buy anything until just now
How very pretty! I love a bit of flower embossed action. I’ve never paid any attention to Clarins, I’m a bit scared of their lip liner crazed SA’s.
I didn’t know that the Instant Light Complexion Perfector came in more than one shade. It’s my favorite illuminator. Sadly, it contains wheat so I can’t actually use it.
Have you tried Clarins’ foundation primer as well?
Hi Pandy – not tried Clarins Primer, but after this I may well do. Are you allergic to wheat? Tis a shame. What other illumintors have you tried? The Clarins is really lovely. Perhaps you can try Armanis?
Hi Elizabeth
Clarins do tend to have rather terrifying SAs in their bright red uniforms! Akin to Clinique actually. Luckily you can buy this online or even better in Boots to get the points!
Well, it’s not really an allergy, but I have Celiac Disease, so I can’t ingest or wear anything that contains wheat, rye, oats or barley (you have no idea how many beauty products contain those ingredient, btw. It’s insane!).
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch is my all time favorite primer; it makes my makeup go on far more smoothly and reduces the appearance of my giant pores. I really think you’ll like it.
Hey Pandy
I’ll give it go. I think Clarins has some really lovely base products since they are kinda good at their skincare and what not. Just their SAs a scary.
