Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette Swatches and Quick Review!

Urban-Decay-Naked-Basics-Palette-Swatches-and-Quick-Review

Tweet Urban Decay’s Naked ‘franchise’ (ok, range), is getting bigger and bigger, and it’s not hard to see why it’s so successful; a collection of very wearable colours together in one place – what’s not to love? Here is my first Naked purchase and the second palette. Obviously good things come in threes, so I purchased their new smaller ‘basics’ palette from Debenhams when there was 10% off all cosmetics (Debehams does 10% off quite frequently for those interested). Maybelline Eye Studio 24hr Color Tattoo – Review & Swatches – UK Colours – Part 1

Maybelline-Color-Tattoo-24hr-eyeshadow-review-

Tweet I am a huge huge fan of cream eyeshadows, although I am quite specific about the types I like…quite runny and shimmery, jelly like, or rich creams.  Maybelline’s Eye Studio Color (using the spelling on their packaging) Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows have been out of my radar for a long time because they had a texture I don’t usually like; somewhat thin and quite solid. Then I was sent a few colours to try; quite a neutral selection which piqued {Read More}

Real Techniques Your Eyes Enhanced Starter Set Review

Real-Techniques-Your-Eyes-Enhanced-Starter-Set-Review-2

Tweet The other set of Real Techniques brushes I purchased from Amazon with a slight discount was this ‘Starter Set’ which is specifically for the eyes.  There is a set of 5 products in this in a nice purple and black design with a case that doubles as a stand. I am quite fussy about my eye brushes; I have a trusty few I seem to use a lot then the rest just get picked up occasionally. My favourite expensive {Read More}

Highlight / Contour! Esprique Light Control Stick 01 and Shade Control Stick 02 Review!

Esprique-Light-Control-Stick-01-and-Shade-Control-Stick-02-2

Tweet When it comes to contouring, I am pretty lazy (and incapable) of doing any chiselled looks – but I still like a bit of bronzing and highlighting to add some shape to the face.  Obviously it’s not something I do every day but every now and then it’s nice to do a proper full face of make up! Whilst I have lots of powder contours, I do prefer cream textures. I have a Tom Ford contour palette which is {Read More}

MAC-Lipstick-Dazzleglass-Lip-Glass-Haul-Ruby-Woo-Angel-Baby-Sparks.jpg

Tweet There’s no doubt that there is just something nice about buying a MAC product – although I am not obsessive about the brand, I do have a soft spot for some of their eyeshadows and the lipsticks! I love the vanilla scent.  Before Christmas I did some sorting out, and ended up with more back to MAC products then expected! With this I popped down to the counter and chose; Angel – one of my favourite pink lipsticks ever. {Read More}

Estee Lauder Double Wear Gel Eyeliner in Extreme Emerald Review & Swatch!

Estee-Lauder-Double-Wear-Gel-Eyeliner-in-Extreme-Emerald-.jpg

Tweet I was a huge gel eyeliner fan.  And then I wasn’t as keen because I could never get through a pot before it started to go crumbly, and then, it seemed like a lot of work having to grab a brush to apply when I could just use a really soft pencil. Nevertheless, I am one for bright, colourful gel eyeliners.  Estee Lauder Double Wear Gel Eyeliner comes n 5 colours including two eye-catching hues, in Extreme Emerald and {Read More}

Nars American Dream Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Nars-American-Dream-Eyeshadow-Palette-Review-1.jpg

Tweet My final Nars Artist Palette to review is the American Dream palette.  Of all the palettes I purchased (or got Mr C to purchase!) this was the one I was the most excited about getting in the post.   The palette is quite shimmery with the exception of Bali which is a neutral matte brown. But more about the shade later.
