I am all for affordable (or relatively) affordable but effective skincare. I have a set of SKII skincare in my to use box but I’m to scared to use it – it cost me a fair penny, and if it makes me break out then…its just…too hard to contemplate.
My next main dabbling or should I say trial (after Karin Herzog – verdict coming up) may be this – Boots No. 7’s new Lift & Luminate (not Illuminate, which is what I keep calling it) Skincare range!
Remember the fuss over Protect & Perfect? How it sold out everywhere? Well there’s a new dual named range:
Boots tested this on over 500 volunteers, In vitro and In vivo.
(In vitro means tested in a dish, and In vivo means on a person. One of my best friends is a Cosmetic Scientist!).
Half of the volunteers faces used the Lift & Luminate and the other with standard moisturizer. The skin was then measured using Ultrasound (skin density), Cutometer (for elasticity) and ‘dermal remodelling’ (how the skin changed under the surface).
I am sort of excited….
I don’t get breakouts with No. 7 products so I am hopeful.
The range is for older women, aged 45+ but I’ll give it ago – prevention rather than cure!
The range is:
No7 Lift & Luminate Day Cream, £19.50 for 50ml
No7 Lift & Luminate Night Cream, £20.50 for 50ml
No7 Lift & Luminate Eye Cream, £16.50 for 15ml
No. 7 Lift & Luminate Foundation, £15.50 for 30ml
