I have become a real sucker for a nice facial oil – nice but not TOO fancy as I find too many essential oils can make my sensitive skin react. I will do a post eventually on the ones who are in my ‘skincare tub’. One of the ones I’ve really enjoyed using is this one from Beuti Skincare, unusually called an ‘inflammaging oil’.
See that gorgeous honey coloured oil. It just looks good for you, right?!
So how this works is, there are 14 plant based oils in this which is what gives it that rich deep colour. We are talking the following:
Chia seed oil, bitter cherry seed, raspberry seed, seabuckthron fruit berry oil, sandalwood oil, geranium flower oil, neroli flower oil, lavender herb oil and more. There is a LOT of goodness in this oil. I am all for simple oils too but this kind of unique blend is something that is much easier to buy premade rather than buying 14 different oils to mix together. Also the blend here has been carefully chosen and prepared accordingly.
The idea is that this oil is protective and ‘inflammaging’ – a condition where the skin ages due to inflammation caused by sun exposure, pollution, exfoliation and other harsh things that happen to your skin – call it wear and tear.
This is called a ‘Sleep’ oil but you can use this in the day too – depends how you choose personally to use a oil. I love it as a last layer at night, I even mix a drop in with my make up sometimes in the day because it seems to help my dry skin.
So I have been using this for a few weeks. I am impressed by its texture, which looks like it’s going to be heavy but actually settles in nicely. It’s fab for my dry skin, I can’t speak for how it is on oilier skin types. It smells nice too and in the morning, my skin does look quite radiant. This is the oil I would pick up after I’ve used a mask or treatment because it’s quite rich and soothing.
I really like that it is not full of filler – some oils are like 80% a cheap oil and a drop of the fancy stuff but this one isn’t.
I like this product, but if I had any complaints? Not a complaint so much, but I did think the box packaging was quite plain and didn’t look like it housed a £42 facial oil (which is quite expensive). Having said that if you were looking to spend £40+ for a face oil, it’s actually decent value.
The iconic Decleor face oils (which was my first experience with face oils – perk of being a beauty blogger!) cost £45 each and you only get 15ml whereas you get 30ml of the Beuti oil, so it will last if you are only using a few drops a time.
If you are looking for a face oil which is a blend of different oils and is 98% natural, and will work to calm your skin and is really quite multi purpose, and you’re budget is around the £40 mark, this is the one to try. Buy it here from Look Fantastic.
