Quite a while ago I was sent a few products from Belle Azul, a skincare brand from Barcelona, boasting some really lovely natural ingredients. I tried the Moroccan Hair serum and Siesta Body Oil. I am a big fan of oils for everything – hair oils, face oil, scalp oils….
The packaging is unusual – I wasn’t sure what to expect really. It is well made though and the bottles the oils come in are also heavyweight and well made.
Siesta Body Oil is a reasonably thick body oil which has a warm spicy scent I think it is the Rosemary and Jasmine I can smell – but it has that spa like aromatherapy type scent I am fond of. It’s not for everyone but I personally adore herbal scents.
One thing about these bottles is that you have to pour the product out – it’s easy to pour out a bit too much and since I don’t like putting things back in to the bottle, I end up rubbling quite a lot of oil over myself! It would be great to get a pump with this bottle which makes dispensing a bit easier.
The oil itself smells great and feels lovely. Despite bring quite thick it doesn’t leave a super unbearable oily residue, it seems to sink in fine. After a shower I apply this when my skin is still a bit damp and it looks lovely, glowing and soft afterwards.
At £9.90 it’s really good value for what is a lovely oil, reminiscent of Aromatherapy Associates body oil which is also gorgeous but a lot more expensive.
The Moroccan Argan Oil is again a very thick rich oil for the hair. I always apply a hair oil if possible to hydrate my hair and to tame frizz. You only need a bit of this as it is so rich and heavy and again, I would prefer a pump to come with this so I don’t have to pour it out on to my hands.
A small amount is used on the mid lengths to ends.
As you can see from the ingredients, Argan Oil is quite high up on the list but it is not PURE organ oil like some products. However this doesn’t bother me since this works really nicely as a hair oil despite it looking scarily thick. I apply it on my ends and it tames frizz and keeps everything soft and shiny.
I am a fan of hair oils – if I am washing and air drying at the very minimum I will apply a hair oil and this one is a really decent product with no stickiness which I hate, and provided you don’t go over board, it doesn’t look greasy either.
I have enjoyed using both of these products and would purchase in the future as they are reasonably priced for a good product. The hair oil is currently £13.90 and the Body Oil £9.90 on Amazon. If I were to say anything is that they should change the packaging or provide a pump or even a spout of some sort so that one can better control the product when dispensing.
Other than that, Belle Azul is a lovely range to try.
