When H2 asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day, I said, ok, well you may only be 2, but I would really appreciate the new Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Prismatic Amethyst, please. And like magic, POOF! On Mother’s Day, pretty make up I did get.
I adore my Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Palette – I use it daily, so I figured another Becca highlighter wouldn’t hurt. The thing is, Prismatic Amethyst isn’t like anything else I already in my collection so I am allowed, right?
So the USP of this highlighter (because highlighter is everywhere now), is that it is a duo-chrome shade that changes depending on what light you have on you. The powder looks like a very icy light pale pink but there’s gold, violet and rose tones in there. Very pretty.
Here is the cool packaging:
The packaging has that holo thing going on which I adore too. For the price point, I feel that Becca has really pretty and sturdy packaging worthy of the price.
Here is the powder which looks like it has little peaks in it:
The texture of this is soft and creamy although when I first dipped my finger in to it, I felt it was a little powdery, but when actually swatched, yet it is soft. It’s definitely on the cool side of the scale an I wondered if it would look odd on my warm skin tone.
The thing is I had seen this on someone else on top of their usual make up, blusher, highlighter – and it just adds a little bit of something. So yes I do think this can work on warm an cool tones.
Another thing you can apparently do is mix it with other blushers to create that holo effect.
Here it is on my cheek (I am a NC35).
You can get your paws on the Becca Highlighter from Space Nk for £32.
