This week I am reviewing my 5 current favourite foundations!
I’ll begin this series with one of my favourite foundations, ever.
RMK Creamy Foundation (there is also a liquid version) has a cream/gel texture and medium coverage. The first time I used this foundation, I was amazed by how easy it was to blend it (even when I totally over applied the product!) – there were no streaks AT ALL.
Once the foundation had blended into my skin, it dried, and stayed put all day, powder or no powder. It’s also brilliant for hydrating the skin throughout the day – none of that weird clumping stuff going on around my dry patches.
RMK Creamy Foundation also contains SPF 15 – always a nice thing to add and I don’t know – it’s just a perfectly effortless foundation. It feels good on the skin, always leaving a slight glow and leaving it looking healthy.
My perfect shade is a 104 (sometimes 103 when I am lighter). It is literally the perfect shade for me. Note that RMK foundations are split into ’1′s and ’2′s so for example, 103 and 203.
The difference is that the ’1′s represent yellow based skin and the ’2′ represent pink based skin.
There aren’t a whole load of shades if you are very pale or very dark though…that it a limitation to this base.
This is probably the first foundation I even finished and has to scrape the edges of (the corners of the jar make it harder than it looks!).
As mentioned above, not so great if you are dark skinned or very pale. It’s perfect for my NC30-35 skintone (104) as it’s yellow based without being too golden so it’s very natural.
For Skin Types:
All skin types – but if you are very oily perhaps the liquid version if for you. It’s quite hydrating so great for dry skins too.
Like a mixture of cream and gel. Feels light once on the skin.
Medium upwards. You could apply it with a light hand for sheerer coverage but generally speaking, this foundation will cover nearly all your flaws and also redness.
Excellent – if set with some powder it will last all day.
A very glowy foundation I think, I look radiant with it on and this settles down as the wear goes on.
Being so easy to blend into the skin for a flawless finish.
Price: £29. Expensive but it reminds me of EST and Suqqu foundation, both cost around £60 so are double the price.
