There’s nothing better than a good old bizarre strange Asian invention – so when I saw these nail protectors on eBay I just had to buy them:
I am a complete novice when it comes to nail application. I can’t stay still long enough for the damn thing to dry so it always smudges, then I can’t stand it and it all comes off again.
So these clips go on over the freshly painted nail to keep it protected:
Clip!:
They aren’t very even – that is, the side of my nail was touching the plastic so it requires some fiddling to make sure the polish doesn’t smudge on it.
You can also flip it up to…check on it?
Here’s a fault – I can still bend my thumbs and therefore smudge it easily from doing general stuff like…I don’t know…picking up a cat. These protectors off limited protection after all – they don’t ‘cocoon’ so well.
Verdict: They are ok….not madly effective but if I was happy to sit there for 20 minutes or however long it takes for polish to dry, I might clip these on to stop debris and hair falling on them.
(purchased for abour £4 from eBay).

Oh my…that’s too bizzare. And probably utterly useless…which makes it just my kind of thing! I need it in my collection of pretty pink gadgets with no real use! Thank you Rowena for finding it
What a random invention!
