Barry M recently launched a matte version of their creamy and very soft eye crayons:
I am already a fan of the super soft metallic eye pencils, when I was sent two of the new matte textures to try out in a green and blue:
I like the fact they are matte but bright at the same time. I find mattes for the eyes *snooorreeee* most of the time, so a pop of colour helps….
These pencils are the same as the normal metallic pencils – super super super creamy and soft. No tugging or pulling on the skin at all – really lovely to use:
They are also very pigmented, as are the metallics in the range:
I have to say I am a fan of these pencils – I have my eye on Turquoise and for £3.95, its a bit of a bargain. Most of all though, I actually can’t think of another range that has a matte pencil in these shades or that are as soft and creamy as these ones.
The shades aren’t for everyone but I love the pencils because I like my brights, and I can’t fault it terms of texture or pigmentation. It would be great to see the Matte pencil range include some essential neutrals like black and navy, or a dark purple for example.

wow!!! those are really vibrant colours!!! i need to go find one- my eye pencils need to be applied like 20 million times before they show any colour- dodgy much!
How’s the staying power? Does it rub off on your upper eyelid or fade by the end of the day?
